Uniform Regulation and Dress Code Regulations

 

 

UNIFORM REGULATION- From September 8th to October 15th the Summer Uniform will be in effect:  WINTER UNIFORM BEGINS October 18th. If the weather begins to change and temperatures begin to drop, the winter uniform may be worn earlier.

Lobel’s Uniform Co. will be here on September 14th at 10AM to measure children or to take orders for those needing uniforms

 

DRESS CODE REGULATIONS:

 

DRESS CODE REGULATIONS:  LAST YEAR, I BEGAN TO SEE A DECLINE IN THE DRESS CODE. DRESS CODES ARE PUT INTO PLACE FOR MANY REASONS. PRIMARILY THEY ARE ESTABLISHED TO MAINTAIN GOOD ORDER, LIKE-MINDEDNESS, AND NEAT APPEARANCES WITHIN A CATHOLIC SCHOOL. FADS AND LATEST STYLES HAVE NO PLACE WITHIN THE WALLS OF A SCHOOL BUILDING. CONCENTRATION ON STUDIES AND STRIVING FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE DO! REGULATIONS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED BY THE HOMEROOM TEACHERS AND MYSELF THIS YEAR. RULES AND REGULATIONS NEED TO BE ADHERED TO BY ALL THOSE ATTENDING ST. PETER SCHOOL FROM THE YOUNGEST STUDENT TO THE OLDEST. PARENTS, WE NEED YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT IN THIS ENDEAVOR!!!! WE WANT OUR STUDENTS TO STAND OUT AMONG THE OTHERS.

 

 

PRE-K3 – GRADE 8 BOYS EARRINGS, EXCESSIVE JEWELRY AND TATTOO’S ARE NOT TO BE WORN IN SCHOOL. HAIR MUST BE NEAT AND NO LONGER THAN THE TOP OF THE SHIRT COLLAR. DYED HAIR OR TAILS ARE NOT APPROPRIATE FOR A CATHOLIC SCHOOL SETTING. UNTIED SHOES OR CONSTRUCTION BOOTS ARE NOT PERMITTED. BOYS PANTS ARE TO BE WORN PROPERLY. THE WAIST BAND OF THE PANTS MUST BE LOCATED IN ITS PROPER PLACE. (AROUND THE WAIST!) A BELT MUST BE WORN TO MAINTAIN THE WAISTBAND’S LOCATION. LONG SLEEVE SHIRTS MUST BE BUTTONED AT THE WRIST AND NOT ROLLED TO THE ELBOW. THE TOP BUTTON OF THE SHIRT (THOSE WORN WITH A TIE) MUST BE ABLE TO BE BUTTONED COMFORTABLY AND FIT THE STUDENT PROPERLY. IF THE WEATHER IS WARM, SHORT SLEEVE DRESS SHIRTS ARE AVAILABLE THOUGH LOBEL’S.   SLACKS MUST BE PLAIN NAVY BLUE SLACKS WITHOUT ADDITIONAL POCKETS GOING DOWN THE LEG OR SNAPS ON THE POCKETS. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT UNIFORM SLACKS BE PURCHASED FROM LOBEL’S IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN  UNIFORMITY.

PREK 3 – GRADE 8 GIRLS UNIFORM REGULATIONS – POST EARRINGS ARE THE ONLY PERMISSABLE EARRINGS THAT MAY BE WORN IN SCHOOL. HOOP OR DANGLING EARRINGS CAN POSE SAFETY ISSUES. TATTOOS ARE NOT PERMITTED. NAIL POLISH, AND NAIL EXTENTIONS ARE NOT TO BE WORN IN SCHOOL. THE CHILD WILL BE ASKED TO REMOVE NAIL POLISH IF IT IS WORN TO SCHOOL. GIRL’S HAIR MUST BE NEAT AND WELL MAINTAINED. LONG HAIR SHOULD BE TIED BACK IN A PONY TAIL, BRAIDED OR UP AWAY FROM THE FACE. BANGS SHOULD BE NO LONGER THAN THE EYEBROW LINE. SKIRT HEMLINES ARE NOT TO BE SHORTER THAN THE TOP OF THE KNEE AND SHOULD NOT BE ROLLED AT THE WAIST. GIRLS APPEARANCE SHOULD BE NEAT AND LADY-LIKE AT ALL TIMES.

*****Please Note:  The uniform policy is as stated above, no variations to the uniforms please! ( Please do not wear the knit shirt with the jumper over it. The white shirt (short sleeve) is to be worn with the jumper, and blue knit shirt is to be worn  with the blue shorts.)  Thank you!!!!

PETER SCHOOL MUST WEAR A SCHOOL ISSUED UNIFORM EACH AND EVERY DAY.  NO ACCEPTIONS  MADE !!!  SNEAKERS MUST ALSO BE WORN DAILY.  BOYS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO HAVE EARRINGS, HAIR TAILS OR LONG HAIR. GIRLS LONG HAIR MUST BE TIED BACK IN A PONY TAIL, BRAIDED, OR  UP AWAY FROM THE FACE. NAIL POLISH MAY NOT BE WORN TO SCHOOL. POST EARRINGS ARE THE ONLY STYLE EARRING PERMITTED TO BE WORN IN SCHOOL TEMPORARY TATTOO’S ARE NOT PERMITTED.  PRE K

No other combinations please! Please do not mix the summer uniform clothing with the winter uniform clothing.

 

ALL GIRLS SHOE REGULATIONS:

 

Black, brown or navy shoes that tie or buckle, with a low heel (NO higher than 2 inches) This rule will be strictly enforced for the safety of our students.

Loafers are permitted

NO over the ankle shoes (shoe boots)

NO open toe or open  back shoes

NO platforms

NO sandals or plastic shoes

 

Shoes with laces must be tied. Younger students who are unable to tie shoes are advised to wear a shoe with Velcro straps.

 

On gym days you may wear either the St. Peter’s gym shorts and t-shirt or the St. Peter’s sweat suit.

Students are to wear the school uniform everyday except gym day and tag day.  The uniform is to be worn neatly.  School shirt is to be tucked in.  No jewelry is to be worn to school on gym day.

 

TAG DAYS- ARE MONTHLY IN-SCHOOL FUNDRAISERS DESIGNED TO BENEFIT OUR STUDENTS. The cost to participate in Tag Day is $1.00 per child.  The dollar is to be brought to school on Tag Day and given to the homeroom teacher by the child. We have at least one tag day every month (refer to monthly calendar for the dates). The children, on Tag Day, may wear their own clothes to school that day and  MUST wear modest clothes.  Sleeveless, off the shoulder or midriff blouses, tight pants or skirts with slits up the back or sides, low-waist hip huggers jeans and short-shorts are NOT permitted. No skin showing around the midriff, please. This POLICY will be strictly enforced.
