We are the Children of God, We Hold the Future in Our Hands...
A Word from the Pastor …

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is with great joy that I present to you our new principal for St.
Peter’s School.  After an arduous process that involved advertizing
the position in the secular media, setting up of a Principal Search
Committee, reviewing the résumés and interviewing the most
suitable candidates from among them, Phyllis A. Sisco was
discerned as the most fitting candidate to lead our School as of the
upcoming School Year.  She graciously accepted our offer to
become the new principal, fully cognizant of the importance of
affording our students a Catholic education that shapes them into
moral individuals who will contribute to the growth of the Kingdom
of God and the community.

Mrs. Sisco brings with her nearly thirty years of experience as an
educator.  After having taught in a number of schools – both public
and private – Mrs. Sisco served as Principal of Our Lady of the
Magnificat School in Kinnelon, NJ.  According to her former
employer, Mrs. Sisco “provided excellent academic leadership,
evidenced by the school’s vastly improved curriculum and “Star”
school status … brought both much needed discipline and a strong
work ethic … motivated and inspired teachers, and fostered and
advanced the use of technology throughout the school.”

Mrs. Sisco’s academic achievements are second to none, having
received a Master in Elementary Education in 1988 and a Master in
Arts in Educational Administration in 2004.  All this augurs well for
St. Peter’s School, as we work together to make our school a
place of excellence in all areas.

Parents, prospective parents, alumni and supporters of St. Peter’s
School will have to opportunity to get to know Mrs. Sisco during a
“Meet and Greet the New Principle” social, that will be held this
coming Tuesday (August 31) from 7PM to 9PM at the Rectory.  All
will have the opportunity to greet Mrs. Sisco, enjoy a drink and
some refreshments, in the company of fellow supporters of St.
Peter’s School.  Hopefully, the new members of our faculty will also
be present at the gathering.

As you can see, it has indeed been a busy summer at St. Peter’s
School, which also saw the refurbishment of the Gym floor,
installation of new fire-doors and the installation of a new telephone
and internet system.  We are now looking forward to the opening of
the School Year.

I take this opportunity to invite those parents who are still
considering affording their children a quality Catholic education to
contact us in the coming days, or visit St. Peter’s School at their
convenience.  Many parents have already seen that in spite of the
struggles in paying for their children’s tuition, God always provides
for those who put their trust in Him.

I also take this opportunity to heart fully thank Brother Ralph
Darmento, F.S.C. (from the Archdiocesan Schools Office) and the
members of the Principal Search Committee for their dedication
and the wise advice they provided me in discerning the new
principal.

                                                                 In Christ,

                                                              Fr. Ivan Sciberras
